This Privacy Policy describes how the Notes mobile application (“we”, “our”, or the “App”), developed by Devendra Saini, handles user information.

1. Overview & Zero Data Collection Philosophy

Your privacy is our utmost priority. Notes is built from the ground up as a 100% offline, local-first utility.

• We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
• We do NOT require user account registration, passwords, or cloud sign-in.
• We do NOT track your location, browsing habits, or app usage.
• We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or share your content with any third party or advertising network.

All your notes, checklists, tables, drawings, audio recordings, scanned photos, and documents remain stored strictly and exclusively on your physical device.

2. Information We Handle (Stored Locally Only)

All data processed by the application is stored locally and strictly inside your device’s private storage sandbox:

None of this data is ever transmitted over the Internet or backed up to any remote cloud server.

3. Device Permissions & Transparency

The App requests specific runtime permissions strictly to enable user-initiated features:

Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)

• Purpose: Allows you to record audio memos and insert voice notes directly into your notes.
• Handling: Audio files are saved strictly in your device’s local private directory. They are never uploaded or shared.

Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)

• Purpose: Allows you to take photos of documents, receipts, or whiteboards to attach directly to notes.
• Handling: Photos captured stay exclusively on your local device.

Storage & Files (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

• Purpose: Enables exporting notes as PDF documents, importing file attachments, and saving local backups.
• Handling: The App only accesses the files you explicitly choose to import or export.

Biometrics & Fingerprint (USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT)

• Purpose: Allows locking the app or individual notes with Fingerprint or Face Unlock.
• Handling: Authentication is handled entirely by Android’s native hardware subsystem. The App never accesses or stores your raw biometric data.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

• Zero Ads: We do not display ads or integrate any advertising SDKs (e.g., Google AdMob, Meta Ads).
• Zero Trackers: We do not include Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or third-party tracking tools.
• No Third-Party Sharing: We never share or disclose user content to any third parties.

5. User Data Ownership & Deletion

• Deleting Notes: Deleting a note inside the App immediately purges it from the local SQLite database and deletes associated media attachments.
• Uninstalling the App: If you uninstall the application, all locally stored data, notes, and preferences will be permanently cleared by the Android operating system.

6. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The App does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted from any user, Notes is completely safe for audiences of all ages.
